Thursday (28/11) Kulon Progo Regency Bappeda held a 2024 Kulon Progo Regency One Data Forum Coordination Meeting. The event, which took place in the Sermo Meeting Room, Binangun I Building, 2nd Floor, Kulon Progo Regency Government Complex, was a form of collaboration between the Kulon Progo Regency Government through the Kulon Progo Regency Bappeda as the coordinator of the One Data Forum at the regional level and the Kulon Progo Regency BPS as the Data Supervisor in the implementation of One Data Indonesia in the Kulon Progo Regency area. This activity was attended by the Kulon Progo Regency regional apparatus organizations.
At the main event, the first speaker was Prof. Dr. Suryanto, S.E., M.Sc. from Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta. He delivered a presentation on "The Important Role of Data for Development", that the Government needs input in the form of quality data in realizing the main goal of regional development, namely improving community welfare.
The material delivery session was continued with a presentation on "General Explanation of Susenas Data" by the second resource person, namely Fredy Tjekden, S.ST, M. Si. from BPS Kulon Progo Regency. Susenas is one of the BPS surveys that produces indicators for Sustainable Development Goals, the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN), and Nawacita. On that occasion, an explanation was given regarding the stages in implementing Susenas activities from planning to dissemination and examples of data presentation.
Next, the Head of Bappeda Kulon Progo Regency, Ir. Muh. Aris Nugroho, M.M.A became the third resource person with material on "One Data Action Plan and Kulon Progo Regency Data List". As quoted by Benjamin Franklin which said "If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail", he emphasized the importance of planning the implementation of statistical activities, one of which can be done by submitting statistical recommendations to BPS in order to realize valid, accurate, and accountable data.
In this forum, at the end of the event, the Minutes of the Kulon Progo Regency One Data Action Plan were signed by the Kulon Progo Regency Bappeda, the Kulon Progo Regency Communication and Informatics Office, and the Kulon Progo Regency BPS.
With the spirit of collaboration, hopefully One Data Kulon Progo can be the basis for more accurate and quality development planning.
