Sharing session on “Disaster Risk Management and Mitigation”

Tuesday (3/12), in order to provide education and increase employee awareness regarding the importance of disaster management, Statistics Kulon Progo Regency held a knowledge sharing session on “Disaster Risk Management and Mitigation”. The activity, which was held in the Statistics Kulon Progo Regency Meeting Room, was attended by all employees, including Non-Civil Servant Government Employees (PPNPN) of Statistics Kulon Progo Regency. Present as speakers in this activity were Mr. Winarta, S.I.P (Head of Prevention and Preparedness Section) and Mr. Sunardi (Commander of the Quick Reaction Team (TRC)) from the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Kulon Progo Regency. The interesting delivery style made the participants enthusiastic and listened to the presentation of the material from the speakers well. Checking electrical installations after 15 years, evaluation route maps, evacuation signs, categorization of office space based on disaster vulnerability, determination of assembly points/muster points, and several other things are notes that need to be considered and followed up as a form of effort to anticipate disasters and maintain the safety of employees and users of Statistics Kulon Progo Regency services.
