Abstract

In November 2024, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province was 1.14 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.12. Gunungkidul Regency was recorded to have experienced y-on-y inflation of 0.81 percent with a CPI of 105.37 and Yogyakarta City experienced y-on-y inflation of 1.55 percent with a CPI of 107.04. Inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in most expenditure group indices, namely: food, beverages, and tobacco group by 0.48 percent; clothing and footwear group by 2.05 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 0.52 percent; household equipment, tools and routine maintenance group by 1.70 percent; health group by 2.62 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 2.34 percent; education group by 1.13 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 0.88 percent; and personal care and other services group by 8.86 percent. Meanwhile, the groups that experienced a decrease in the index were the transportation group by 0.18 percent, and the information, communication, and financial services group by 0.33 percent. The month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate in November 2024 was 0.25 percent and the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate in November 2024 was 0.82 percent.
