Abstract

Poverty is one of the fundamental problems that is the center of attention of the government. One important aspect to support poverty reduction strategies is the availability of accurate and targeted poverty data. BPS-Statistics every year presents macro poverty and BPS-Statistics of Kulon progo regency starting in 2015 presenting macro poverty data in the publication of the xecutive Summary of Poverty Conditions in Kulon Progo Regency 2018.This publication presents various macro poverty indicators in Kulon Progo Regency, namely the poverty line, the number of poor people, the percentage of poor people, and the quality of poverty. In addition, technical explanations and theories relating to poverty were also presented.
