Abstract

Poverty is one of the fundamental problems that is the center of government attention. One important aspect to support poverty reduction strategies is the availability of accurate and targeted poverty data. The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) annually presents macro poverty data and BPS Kulon Progo Regency presents macro poverty data in the publication of the Executive Summary of the Kulon Progo Regency Poverty Conditions 2019.
This publication presents various indicators of macro poverty in Kulon Progo Regency, namely the poverty line, the number of poor people, the percentage of poor people, and the quality of poverty. In addition, technical explanations and theories related to poverty are also presented.
